Bespoke entertaining space
Julie and Gary were looking for a unique garden room to relax in with family or entertain friends.
They had recently downsized and were looking for a functional outdoor living area for entertaining but didn't want a full extension or a summerhouse. Instead, they wanted something solid and insulated for year-round use.
When they discovered Cosy Garden Rooms, they found their solution: a bespoke L-shaped garden building. Our garden buildings are fully insulated and constructed using premium-grade materials, making them a perfect choice for a substantial, durable extra living area. Once our job was done, Gary personalised the building to create the ultimate entertaining space, complete with a bespoke fitted kitchen area, wall-mounted TV, and large corner sofa. The finished result is absolutely stunning!

The finished project
The L-shaped bespoke designed garden room features a central sitting room with two partly enclosed canopies connected by a 1.2m wide grey decking path.
The central sitting room, measuring 4.2m x 4.2m, is fitted with large aluminium anthracite bi-fold doors. There are UPVC anthracite windows on the back walls, while long windows seamlessly link to the canopies on either side. Inside, the room has eight dimmable LED lights, three power sockets, a plain board ceiling, and grooved board walls. The interior is painted white and finished with grey laminate flooring.
Each canopy, measuring 3.0m x 3.05m, is open on two sides and features a double plug socket and dimmable LED lighting. The left canopy, designed as a kitchen/cooking area, includes a smaller return canopy wall. The right canopy serves as a dining area, comfortably seating six.
The garden room includes a front and side overhang, the front overhang fitted with LED lighting. The building is constructed using durable Monterey Taupe composite cladding, ensuring both style and longevity.
We caught up with Julie and Gary recently to see how they are getting on since having their Cosy Garden Room.
Why did you need a garden room?
It was more of a want than a need. We wanted an outside living area that was functionable and could be used for entertaining. We wanted a combined cooking, dining and sitting area.
Did you know what style or design of garden room you wanted?
We knew where we wanted the room to go and we knew what we wanted to use it for. Mark worked with us to bring our ideas to life. He listened to what we wanted and produced a design from there. The visuals were great and helped us visualise the room. He offered lots of advice, guided the process and designed what we wanted, he didn’t sell us what he had.
How did you hear about Cosy Garden Rooms?
We saw them on Instagram and were impressed with the wide range of garden rooms we then went to the website and contacted them from there.
What is your favourite thing about your garden room?
That we got exactly what we asked for, no compromises, everything was possible; it’s perfect and we love it.
Was your Cosy Garden Room good value for money?
You get what you pay for! It was a lot of money but we got a lot of garden room and the quality is second to none.
Do you use and enjoy your garden room in the way that you initially planned?
We use it way more that we initially planned! We use it for parties, get togethers, barbeques etc but we also use it for relaxing; watching TV, reading a book, having breakfast; we are delighted with it.
Would you recommend Cosy Garden Rooms?
Yes, and we’ve already done a 5* Trust Pilot review to say just that. We received great advice when designing our room, they listened to what we wanted rather than sell what they had. Excellent service with really great onsite presence; the team worked long hours to get the job done on time and in full.
