Year-Round Comfort: The Benefits of Insulated Garden Rooms.

Insulated garden rooms have become increasingly popular in recent years as more people seek to create additional living or working spaces within their properties. They are quicker to build and cheaper than traditional extensions and their popularity shows no signs of waning.

If you are looking for a versatile, practical space that you can use all year round you need an insulated garden room. The construction materials and process will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.

5 Layers of Insulation

The walls of a Cosy Garden Room comprise 5 layers including insulation and OSB security boarding. The base is insulated and fitted with a damp proof membrane which covers the floor and runs up the walls behind the cladding.

The roofs have Rockwool insulation and are covered with one seamless piece of EPDM rubber, regardless of the size of building, so no joins or gaps can leak. These features are all guaranteed for 10 years.

Insulated Garden Rooms for Year Round Use

Our advice when researching garden rooms is check the specification, ask lots of questions about construction and fully understand any guarantee before purchasing.

One of the key advantages of insulated garden rooms is their ability to provide a comfortable and functional space throughout the year. By incorporating high-quality insulation materials, and double-glazed windows and doors, these rooms can maintain a consistent temperature regardless of the external weather conditions. This makes them perfect for use as offices, studios, gyms, annexe, hairdressers, therapy room, music room, cinema room or relaxation areas, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the main household.

Energy Efficient

The insulation does help to reduce energy costs by ensuring that the internal climate remains stable, thus lessening the need for additional heating or cooling.

However, to give optimum comfort and use, Cosy Garden Rooms can be fitted with air conditioning and/or under floor heating. All the rooms we build are fitted with a wall mounted heater as standard. You use the heating and air conditioning the same as you would do in your house though it will be far more cost effective to heat a garden room than your entire house. Which is a big plus in an era where energy efficiency and sustainability are increasingly important to us all.

We can also fit solar panels or green roofs. Your garden room could be self-sustaining and offer a haven for wildlife. An insulated garden room offers a practical solution to minimise environmental impact while maximizing comfort.

Bespoke Garden Room Design

And you don’t have to compromise on design! Garden rooms can be customised to suit individual preferences and requirements. At Cosy Garden Rooms we offer a 100% bespoke service, we don’t think any other manufacturer offers the same range of options, styles, shapes and sizes. We can build any shape or any size to integrate with your existing outdoor environment and home, providing a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. We offer a range of cladding and finishes from cedar, to modern slatted composite cladding and maintenance free Hardie board.

From a practical point of view, the construction of insulated garden rooms is relatively quick and straightforward, especially when compared to traditional home extensions. This makes them a cost-effective solution for those seeking to extend their living or working areas without the inconvenience and expense of major construction work. From your initial contact with Cosy Garden Rooms your room will be ready to move into within 8 weeks.

In conclusion, insulated garden rooms offer a host of benefits, providing comfortable and adaptable spaces that can accommodate a wide range of lifestyles and activities. With their energy-efficient properties, customisability, and potential to add value to a property, it's no surprise that these versatile structures are a popular choice for those seeking to maximize their property's potential and enhance their quality of life.
